Ok, figured out the DMM. The resistance between the to copper slip rings on the shaft measure 2.7 ohms.
Hoping that is what it should be and it’s not a open circuit.
Gonna get something to repair...

Thanks for you response. Yes the white bearing seal is cracked. I do have a DMM, but not very experienced with them.
How do I go about checking the resistance and open circuit?

Update.......... Got alternator out(so fun),...

Update..........
Got alternator out(so fun), and found out it’s a 220 amp instead of 180. So got to order new part now, and more expensive.
In the pics I am posting it looks like the plastic cover...
