Carfax questions
Looking at this 2005 X5. (http://www.isringhausen.com/Inventory/2005/BMW/X5-Series/VehicleID/2892) The price is ok and with the trade on my current '03 X5, it's easily affordable. I'd be losing 100k...

My kingdom for a decent indie.
About a year and a half ago I took the X5 to a recommended indie for suspension bits. He replaced the control arms and tie rods, and rotors and pads. That temporarily solved my front end wobbles....

Yeah, I have no problem if it's just an old battery. That I can replace. It's just weird that it died so quickly and with no warning. At least it was sitting in my driveway at the time.

Battery died over night
The X5 ran fine yesterday. Last night the alarm went off for no apparent reason. Went out tonight to head out to a show and the car wouldn't start. Barely got half a crank and then it all went dead....

Steering wheel vertical motion decreased
Not sure why this is happening, but in the last couple of days the steering wheel only raises an inch or so when I shut it down. Even if I use the adjuster it will only move an inch. I like it all...

Definitely. Just like the bumpers on the rear hatch. They seem to wear out every year or so and then the hatch starts making noise. Or the radiator/expansion tank on the V-8s. They fail like...

Mine has been doing this on and off since I've owned it (3 years and 90k miles). It will also wind way out in 1st if I'm just starting up again after a long, high speed run. Usually a trip to the...
