I have not any noticable scratch on the boards after more than one year usage. And my kids really step on the boards. The boards have some sort of bulges made of rubber like material which I guess...

My X3 is with boards and I do like them a lot. Besides the looks they are handy when hand washing the car with a sponge. I can easily reach the whole roof. My kids (6 and 9 years) do step on the...
