I can easy turn the intake camshaft without any movement in the chain (it turns inside the vanos), all the diy guides i found dont mention this, usually you see a picture of the cam locks on already....

It was sitting real hard, i had to use pretty much force on the first half unscrewing. I used a 1 metre cheater bar on my 3/4 inch handle, and my homemade locking tool. Felt good when it came loose 😄...

Got the dipstick tube out. Just bend it gently past the vanos solenoid, and then it comes out pretty easy. Also tried the base plate for the locking tool...
