Yes I would go with a LCI model, the 8 speed gearbox is great and coupled with the diesel the fuel economy is pretty good.

About a year ago my old 35d had the same upgrade in firmware and my fuel consumption went from 9.8ltr per 100klm to 10.3 per 100klm, this is mainly city freeway driving. I think thay gave it better...
