Wondering that as well..

GMGX5 01-12-2007 01:29 PM

I think I might be interested in this as well...
It just sounds to cheap.?

Aimster 01-12-2007 01:59 PM

price seems good.

Ive seen them with tires go for 1200s

Mikeroo 01-12-2007 02:10 PM

They do have quite a bit of good feedback.

GMGX5 01-12-2007 02:22 PM

I would like the tires as well if they are a good brand.

I BOUGHT FROM THEM...Please don't buy from them. I was not very happy with their service and the product. Unless you want headache and countless times of calling them up then you would listen to me.

I got my replica 132 20's staggered from them. Lets just say, one of the wheels was bent. I already sold my OEM rims so I had to put it on. Called that same day, the minute i left the tire shop and they told me they couldn't do anything about it since I already mounted the tire. They didn't send all (4) caps. Called 3 times to get (1) cap from them which took 3 weeks to get to me. The first time I called, the guy told me that it shouldn't be hard to find a cap since it fits OEM caps. Yeah Right! I bought OEM wheel caps for BMW and it doesn't even fit. I had to sand quite a bit to make the OEM caps fit in the hole. :banghead:

And to think they boast on ebay that they are a million dollar earner last year with some thousand square feet of facility and they couldn't even send me a stinking cap that only their cap will fit the wheels. :angryfire PATHETIC!

If I were you guys, get them from wheels and caps. Also on ebay...I read a post here where a guy bought his rims from them. He mounted the tires and found that it was bent. Wheels and caps sent another wheel overnight even when the guy hasn't sent the bent one back yet and he got a replacement already. Now that is what I call customer service.

I swore to myself that if I get a chance to let someone know about that company that I will and low and behold...here is my chance. :nanana:

So I ended up having my bent rim fixed by a local wheel shop. Took an hour and $125 but as long as I don't have to deal with them losers from Florida then i'm happy.

Take your pick!

Mikeroo 01-12-2007 02:49 PM

Hmm yeah.. Looks like others have been thru this with them..

And now for an alternative viewpoint....

I've bought two sets of 20" reps from them. I've been generally pleased with the quality of the wheels and the deal itself. I had no issues with out-of-round/bent wheels. JMDXXX and I noted our collective experience with replicas (and OE Wheel and their products) a couple years ago in a post oringinally on RoadFly which is now on the X5World front page here:

Buyers Guide for Replica BMW Wheels

Everyone has issues with product quality from time to time. It's all in how it's handled that makes all the difference. I would hope that moore9911/OE Wheel would stand behind their product if it is defective.

The only other advice I would offer is that the replica wheels tend to be heavier than OEM, and therefore, are more finicky when balancing. You'll want to be sure that your wheel and tire guy does a DUAL PLANE spin balance on them or otherwise you'll feel the dreaded shimmy/pulsation through the steering wheel.

Thanks for the feedback...
I think I would rather spend more and not have the possibility of GRIEF.
No time for that...

X5Dawg 01-12-2007 04:29 PM

I emailed this company (OE Wheel) a week or so ago to see if they still had some replica Style 89's - no response back. Googled the company and found a post where another person was very unhappy and stated there were complaints about the company at the BBB.

I agree - I would pay a little more to get good customer service.

GMG - I sure can appreciate that, and I wish you the best of luck regardless which direction you choose. I had two good experiences with them and just wanted to share my perceptions. Lakeshore and Wheels and Caps are two other replica retailers that seem to have good feedback on Ebay and in here. Check them out and see what you find. As always, personal experience with retailers is a good thing to post in here for the next guy who has the same question as you.

Driver8-

Thanks for info on 295/40's.

Question: Tire Rack tire vs wheel size chart list the 295/40 Goodyear tires for 10" -11.5" wheels. Did these work on your staggered 9.5x20f and 10.5x20r?

Will the tires work on 9.5"x20 front?

Great pictures!

laborlitigator 01-14-2007 10:49 AM

If I received a bent rim, I would have made them send me a new one or stop the charges on the card. That's ridiculous.

They worked out GREAT! No issues whatsoever. 1/2" of wheel width spread across 295mm of tire cross-section doesn't create any problems.

I disagree, I had a bad experience with Wheels and Caps.
