does any else hear the compressor for the rear suspension
 

in my 2003 4.4

every time i start the vehicle, i hear a compressor noise...

anytime someone sits in the vehicle , i hear the compressor noise

i understand for self levelling purposes it is pumping the bags

but

should it be this loud

Is the cover in the trunk loose and reducing the sound deadening effect?

I can only just hear mine when the car first starts, but not after that.

I have never heard mine even with the spare wheel cover removed. May be you have a slow leak. I tow a trailer around a fair bit with various loads, the car always sits level, I never hear the compressor.

And Yes I do have SLS.

I have the same problem. I bought a new compressor but havent put it in yet. Probably overkill.

i was geting the sls inactive error's..i think they are probably related....

I heard mine too for the few months before it went out...

I put my new one in today and the only problem with the old one was the compressor had a loose mounting bolt. If you need one let me know.
