20inch Snow wheels and tires

How do you guys feel about a 20inch snow wheel and tire setup? I have a 4.8is, and currently have an 18inch setup for the snow. Works excellent, looks not so good though in my opinion.

I was going to go for a 20inch style 87 replica in 20x9.5 all around will Pirelli Snow & Ice 275s. They are a bit wider than the 255s on my current snow setup......so question is, will I notice a huge decrease in snow performance with the bigger setup?? Obviously we all know that narrower is better in snow, but real world wise, I am wondering if I will really notice that difference.

I would purchase this setup from LakeShore Wheel and Tire, which is where I got my first winter setup. They are 18 style 87s with 255s all around, which by the way will be for sale in the NJ area if I go for the 20s.

Anyone running 20inchers in the winter, and if so, can I get some real world input??

Thanks fellas.

Do a search, there has been discussions on this in the past.

THe wider the tire, the worse the deep snow traction (like a snow shoe, you'll be more likely to be on top of the snow than push down through it). I guess it boils down to deep snow traction vs. cosmetics.
