Just picked up a used 2001 3.0 don't know my wheels are replica or oem? How can i tell the difference? Thanks.

My guess is replicas... no BMW markings near the center
Also.... :xoutpost:

Some replicas have "BWM" marked near the center, like my reps!
Here's a pic from the home page of BMW Style 87's. See the markings?

:iagree: They are replicas. Sweet looking exhaust, aftermarket?

Thanks dudes. I've had it for about a week now, rides so smooth, nice sounding exhaust. You know I can't recall what type of exhaust the previous owner said it was. It's in the paperwork though...

Great! Any mods on your list? Getting rid of the amber would put your X over the top IMO (and angel eyes!)

Where did you get your clears from? I think that's next, than a DICE.

I just removed the waffles and installed AE's. Check the homepage for details and run a search. Many members have done this and since you have a 2001 you're probably in luck, because headlights mfr'd after 10/2002 CANNOT be opened (Hella changed the glue!). Dice is a must or Intravee II (and a sub!)http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x...DSC01255_1.jpghttp://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x...aaDSC01288.jpg

some of the recent OEM's have the "BMW" lettering on the inside of the rim

as opposed to on the outside near the center cap where they used to put it.

See Pic: <attached>

PS: I'm new to the forum and I tried just pasting the image but it didn't work, so I tried the "insert image" button but it wanted an http:// link (and it's not posted on the web) so I attached it. If anyone has a sec to tell me how to put the image inside the posting that would be great.
