20" Style 168 with out sport suspension
Hey guys I got my X in November and have been running on the stock 18's. Thinking after winter of getting some 20" style 168s. My 2002 X5 4.4 does not have sport package and every picture i have seen the 168's on is on a sport package model. Does anyone have any pics of them on a standard suspension? I just wanted to see how big the gap was in the wheel arches and i dont want it to look goofy.
THanks, Jay:popcorn: |
Here you go...sorry pics aren't so good...taken during rainy day here in Los Angeles.
2004 X5 3.0i w/ No Air Suspension http://xoutpost.com/gallery/files/8/3/7/4/shot4.jpg http://xoutpost.com/gallery/files/8/3/7/4/shot3.jpg http://xoutpost.com/gallery/files/8/3/7/4/shot1.jpg I guess these pics aren't a good source for seeing the actual gap. I'm actually thinking of getting some Eibachs to lower it 1.25" all around. Still deciding if it is really worth spending the money on to see it just an inch lower. |
Not 168s, but this is what it would look like if you went with the 275/40 and 315/35 tires. i was worried about the look too, but it wasnt bad at all IMO.
I dont have sport suspension. http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...dec07003-1.jpg http://i209.photobucket.com/albums/b...dec07001-1.jpg |
Hey Ed, howcome you didn't want to put the BMW logo on the center caps? Are you keeping it grey that way?

it is weird that in certain locations that i park, the gap looks fine without lowering the X5 but in certain locations the gap looks very noticeable.
like i said, i've been contemplating over and over arguing with myself if it is a reasonable mod that has a use to it or just for cosmetic. |
well the reason i didnt get sport package to begin with is because I live in Maine and potholes and bad roads are everywhere. Those are pretty good pics and give me an idea. Anyone else have pics?
