That setup will run fine on the e53. Only thing I can see happening is the fender liner getting rubbed here and there when turning the wheel full lock into a driveway. Not a huge rub, just slightly and not all the time. I noticed a couple rub marks on my fender liner and i'm running 285-35-22.

My rubbing issue has to do with aggressive driving into turns. They dont rub consistantly, but I just thought I would mention it did occur.

To the OP: 285/30 is a tad bit thin of a profile to run on the x5, dont you think?
