Any updates on those of you with Toyo Proxes STII's??
Any of you that have these and have put some miles on them, please give us an update on likes/ dislikes. The biggest issue with the first gen was the noise they make after 10 - 15K miles of wear - has this improved??

I'm at about 5k now and they seem fine. I am having some issues with a grinding feeling through the fool board, but I think it's either caliper or bushing related.
I'll keep you posted on the tires. |
They are truly great tires and for the money, you can't beat them for the price. Plus they will last longer than most other tires for approx. 1/2 the costs of Mich, Dunlap, or Bridgestone.

Had them since January, put on about 5k miles on them... So far so good. Excellent ride quality, noise levels are ok... Great value for the money.

10K just had them re-balanced and rotated. Much better than the first series. Can't really compare them to other brands, i've only used toyo so far.

Well, baby got new shoes!!! After going to get an oil change and my shop telling me they could see belts showing thru on the inner edges of my rear tires, I took her in the Butler Tire yesterday and had some STIIs installed.
MMMMMMAAAAANNNNNNNN what a difference in noise!!!!! My old ones were howling so bad and after I left the shop yesterday and pulled up to the forst stop, I had to check to see if the car was still running because everything was so quiet!! Good news is I actually got 37K miles out of the set I just took off - not bad for performance tires that were not rotated. Thanks to all who replied - looking forward to putting many miles on these. |
A little over 10k miles and no noticeable noise.

I have over 30k on my S/T's and will be going with the S/T II's as well in the next few months. Keep us posted.
