Tire repair advice

Hey Guys and Gals

Forgive my ignorance in regards to this basic question...

I have a small leak in one of my run flat tires on my 2009 X5 (19inch wheels).
Not sure where the leak is, but I'm hoping it can be repaired.

Question: In your experience-is it better to go to the BMW dealer for this task or an independent dealer (Bridgestone etc) that is certified to work on run flat tires?

Thanks in advance--you guys are great!

I would pick a good tire joint over the dlr...dlrs will usually insist on a replacement
tire. A well done internal patch, in the tread area, will keep you going. Be sure
your tire joint is careful with you rims during tire off/tire on and that they do
know how to handle RFTs.
