Tire advice anyone?

Looking to get some new tires and was looking at these simply due to cost. Does anyone run these and if so what do you think?

I have the Yokohama ADVAN S.T. right now and if you ask me they I would not buy again. I have terrible noise which I think comes from the rear. I have that wah wah wah sound Could be that it need an alignment or something else checked out but the rears wearing bad on the inside. I am not the biggest fan of the different size tires on the front and back and having no ability to do a simple rotation. Anyway its the wife car so gota make her happy. Another thing is that we don't think we will be keeping the X much longer. We realy need something with more room for traveling.

I need to get new tires as well. I've been calling around and from what I'm told, the Grabber UHPs are noisy as well. I'm thinking about going with the Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport as I really don't need all season tires being in LA. Looked into the Michelin Latitudes, but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $. I'm currently on the original Diamaris and according to the Tire Rack reviews, the Duelers are supposed to be quieter than the Diamaris.

Edit: Just looked on Tire Rack and the Grabber front tires have the same load rating as your Yokohamas. From what I was told, because this load rating is higher than OEM, there is more noise from the tires because the tire wall is thicker to handle the added load capacity. Not sure if that's accurate, but that's my understanding.

I think I decided to go hitw he dueler hp's for my next set. Not only are they at a good price for the OEM 20" sizes, but they have great reviews from other X5s that used them. And that tire in a runflat is what the new X5M and X6M will be running, so apparently BMW likes them as well.

Thanks Weasel. That's good to know. It makes me feel better about making the decision on those tires. I've been waiting to pull the trigger because there are so many tire recommendations and it's hard to differentiate which one would be best for the X5. The last thing I want to do is spend $1000 or more on tires and not be happy with them.

Clicking on that link brought me to the same pade I have bookmarked in favorites.

Scroll down to the surveys and the top one listed is a 4.6is giving a good survey. When I looked at them the first time there was a review from a 4.8is giving a good review as well. I pretty much know beforehand I will like them more than the michelins, and more than I would like the yoko's

:iagree:With the word out that they make less noise, I think you guys are making my decision for me. And Tirerack actually has the rear (19") on special right now! Think I will palce my order.

Bridgestone Dueler Alenzas have gotten good reviews

The Dueler Sport HP RFT are great tires. Not a grippy as the Dunlap Sport Maxx's, but only by a hair. The noise doesn't come til your past 20-25K. I have 36K on them now, and dealt with the NOISE and RUMBLING, and they are slowing turning into bald tires. Time to get tires next week. But hey, at 2K a clip @ the stealer, I might as well get my money's worth.

Well I got my tires today so I will get these put on over the weekend and get an alignment ASAP to make sure all is good.

I hope these wear better than the last set ecspeciallt the rears.
