2004 4.4i/Sports Package; need extra set of rims for winter tires

Been looking on Craigslist for a set of non staggered 17 or 18 inch BMW wheels to use on my 2004 E53/sports package (staggered 19 inch rims) for winter tires. I'm getting conflicting information from sellers on compatibility of wheels off non sports package E53"s with my setup.

Does anyone know if wheels from all years of E53 X5's (2001-2006) are interchangable?

I've searched on google and X outpost and haven't found the answer.

Thanks in advance

The wheels themselves are interchangeable, as the bores are the same. Iirc the 4.4 & 3.0 also share the same size front rotors....rears I believe are vented on the 4.4. That being said, 17's may/may not work depending on clearances of the calipers (I can't recall if the 2 models also share the same calipers or not) so I'd recommend sticking with 18's or larger.

I run some 5-spoke E53 18" BMW wheels for my 'winter' tires.

Craigslist is your friend. Pretty much any 18" X5 wheel (E53/E70) will fit. Find a cheap set and you're good to go. I paid $400 for wheels AND decent Michelin all season tires. I'm now running Bridgestone Dueler Sport A/S tires (and I love them).
