Screen faulty
 

I've just replaced the drive unit in the MK4 DVD as it died. All works except there's a bit of the screen that doesn't work. It's not pixels - it's more like a thick line, obscuring "telephone" on the menu screen.

Any clues ?

It sounds more like a screen fault mate, have you tried another drive in or your screen in someone elses car?
