Im not sure if this is only because of the cd chager itself, or if the cable from the nav monitor to the changer is failing.

Therefore, would it be safer for me to install the radio version.? And aslo, with the radio version, could you keep the cd chager as well.? Or do you still unhook the chager.?

Finally, i have the 4:3 version nav screen, while my car is a early 2001 mod. which version of the kit should i go for.?

thanks.:)

Since you have NAV, you will need the trunk interface kit:

DICE - SILVERLINE iPod Integration Kit for X5 00-06 (Trunk Interface)
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=1631

The CD Changer cannot be retained with the DICE, it must be removed.

Okey.

Thanks for the reply.. I was under the impression that one could choose wether to use radio vers. or trunk vers..

You can on Business Cassette/CD versions, but limited to trunk interface on NAV since the radio tuner is in the boot.

Yes - same kit would be used for 4:3 & 16:9, no problem.

Thanks again Tom..

Just one last question here.. When selecting the features for the DICE kit, will i need to choose the sirius option.? Is this the NAV.?

Sirius is satellite radio for US customers, you can select "no" to this option.

Browse within playlist?

You now have the ability to browse through your iPod by Artist, Album or by Individual songs within a Playlists
I just bought DICE Silverline and have question.

I can't figure how to browse within a playlist.
My steps:
1. Press DISC 2 to select playlist mode.
2. User rotarry jod dial to select the playlist.
3. After one second it starts to play the first song from the selected playlist.
4. I press SKIP/NEXT button to go to next song. Instead, DICE selects next playlist, which is quite unfamiliar for me.

So, how can I skip some songs from the selected playlist (except removing the song from the playlist with iTunes ;) )

My units:
DICE Silverline I-BMW-T/5V
Firmwares:
Core 1.400E
Car: 1.0203
iPod: 1.1004
Aux: 1.04
I use it with iPod Classic 1st gen 20GB, last firmware (3.1.1)
No DSP.

Anyone faced same problems ?

This is accessed through the steering wheel or radio controls, not the iPod. This way, your hands are kept on the wheel at all times.
