These would be considered 6000K.

STALKER 03-04-2008 06:45 PM

I have seen this kit in person, and it looks like a high quality piece.

STALKER 03-05-2008 10:26 PM

I got these from a local vendor, they look like a good kit. Very similar to the more $$$ kits out there, for a much better price. I will post a review when I get them in. Hoping for Friday.

Thanks,

Thanks,

These are 3W and just as bright as predator ice. There is 0 difference.

lemans4.8 03-19-2008 09:55 PM

are they direct plug and play or do you have to use wire taps or splice?

These are direct plug and play, correct connectors are included.

lemans4.8 03-19-2008 10:02 PM

I'm going to have to sleep on this one.... you're making me broke, Tom!!

Tom G. 03-19-2008 10:24 PM

We'll be here when ready. :)

Go_Fast 04-10-2008 10:39 PM

i got my kit today.

i have the included connectors prepared for installation but it seems the driver's side bulb isn't accessible before a couple of things are moved out of the way and the rear of the light assembly is removed. and, the passeger side bulb is accessible but not the second connector without a little work.

is this correct?

Shouldn't be - we were able to get to these rather quickly on the couple of X5s that came in our shop.

Go_Fast 04-11-2008 10:07 AM

i should have added: 2005 X5

Should be no different, if you would like to drop by, I can show you in person.

Go_Fast 04-11-2008 10:23 PM

i can access the existing lights but i'm missing something as to where the larger plug connects.

my kit came with two lights, each with a ballast and two plugs - one larger than the other. i know the smaller plug connects to the power lead for the light but where does the large plug connect?

You will use one of the 2 connectors since the kit covers a wide range of BMW models.

Hey Tom, on the 05X5 is there a way to get the halos to run all the time, with the drl's turned off? I might have to take a trip to Santa Ana to see what they look like in person! They look great in the pic but exposure, pc monitor, my eyes, all could make it look different

I'm not 100% sure, but if you're in the area - we'll plug you in the computer and see if the option is there.

So the large plugs are just to be left unplugged dangling or does it plug into somewhere?

The plug is about the size of a US nickel, only one of the two are used.

Thx for the lightning fast reply!

I have an 04 X5, it uses the small plugs; when I connected them only, the lights didn't work. Perhaps I need to switch the wires. :dunno:

The box didn't come with the instructions. Would you happen to have a pdf version of the instructions?

Not at the moment, but if you would like to email me your request - I can reply with a set in the morning.

Actually, Predator ICE is the same as MYCARR units, only under a different name.
