Picked this guy up about a month ago. 20k miles, still under factory warranty till 10/21.



So far, I have the Dinan S1 tune. Dinan suspension, which I have now removed and H&R spacers, which I will also probably end up removing. Reason for removing parts, is I don't particularly like the look. I feel the factory setup looked better.



The Dinan S1 tune will stay, because that is straight crack.



Tactical clear bra on entire front end, sides and rear bumper.



Tinted front windows 30% to get that matched look.

Comparing this to the 4.8is is like night and day. Honestly the e53 4.8is is a very special beast, with lots of luxury and some items got cheaper on the new models. Like the pano roof not having that sexy middle mesh when the panels are in tilt mode. The trunk side removable panels are just pull away now, not a lever to unlock them. Little things like that are no longer present on the new x5. Like carpeted panels under the glove box are now just plastic. Yea no one sees this shit, but the e53 had it, and it felt lux.



But all that goes away when you start the F85. It is nothing like a regular F15 x5 at all. From the fake DCT "acting" automatic, to the power, to the full leather interior, to all the tech. I feel like a 40 year old child with this beast.



Not sure what other mods I will be doing. So far feels like a well engineered machine.
