X5 "M" Testing in South Carolina

For those of you that are interested,I confirmed w/ my contacts today that some X5"M" mules are now testing here in the Upstate. No pic's yet.My contact says they are keeping close wraps on the mules and they are "in camo".He would not elaborate any further.I've seen a few unbadged and no BMW logo X5's around but did not think "M".I was looking for the "Quad" exhaust that all the oversea's pics had shown.I'll get an extra "antenna" up and start paying a little more attention to passing X5's.I know alot of you own X5's.If I get any pic's I'll postem up at X5 World. Makes me believe the X5"M" might be sooner than later.Thanks.PalBay

We have the X5 3.0sd twin turbo sport, 600nm of torque, and if you chip it over 700nm, comes with bigger brakes as well.

Don't need a V8 that has less nm of torque. V8 0-100 6.5 sec.

3.0sd 7.0 sec and uses half the amount of fuel to get there. My $0.02

From worldcarfans.com - BMW X5 engine details

http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080302....ails-whispered

Our people inside the corridors of power at BMW have sent us one of two interesting messages regarding the strength of the next top-of-the-range X5.

Firstly, the sources say the vehicle will not be named iS as have been previously, although this is not yet confirmed even within BMW itself. However, what has been let out the bag as the proverbial cat, is how talented the X5 king will be on tar.

Brandishing the same 4.4 V8 petrol with two turbos strapped to it as what we’ve seen in the X6 xDrive 50, the X5 promises to take us to 405kW/ 543 bhp and over 700Nm of supplied torque. The engine has obviously been remapped and tweaked to supply these astounding SUV numbers. Zero to 100km/h may be a matter settled in around 5 seconds with the normal top speed limited to 250km/h. Power will go to all four wheels via xDrive, which is claimed to be the fastest-reacting 4x4 system in the world.
