Hi guys, 1st post. I have ordered a X5M and I'm in Melbourne Australia - Oct build. My friend then followed a few weeks later and he only manage to get Dec build! These things are obviously selling here!

what colour (ext/int) did you go for? any options?
when do you expect delivery? Please tell us aussies more!!!

I put down a deposit in september for an X6 M, was told it'd be an october build with december or january delivery - however after optioning individual leather I'm told it will probably be february delivery now

I've gone with:

carbon black
individual merino full leather in platinum
individual extensions of above for leather instrument panel
piano black trim
soft close doors
iphone connect (ipod controls via iphone cradle, no cable required)
6 disc dvd changer
individual audio
individual window trim and glazing
adaptive fixing
and considering the 215 wheels in ferric

for those outside australia, our X5/X6 M here is almost fully optioned up by default

jimsaq, your spec is almost the same as my friend's! Here is my spec:

Monte Carlo Blue
Bamboo leather
Piano black
Leather dash
Sun glazing (what is Individual window trim???)
Comfort climate windscreen (surprise you didn't order this in HOT HOT Qld!)

How much are you being qouted for 215 Ferric? I am also considering this but not sure how it would look with the blue.

the individual window trim is listed as "0760 - BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line" on my options sheet. There's also another one listed as "03MB - BMW Individual Exterior Line Aluminium satinated" which I think is the chome-ish/silver-ish trim, which I asked not to have incidentally

and the climate comfort windscreen I assumed was superceded by the individual glazing, since they told me the glazing was dark tint on side windows and sunroof + sun protection all round. I've got climate comfort on my current X5, I might check whether I need to option it seperately on this new order.

and I haven't gotten a quote on the 215's yet, but I did enquire on them when I bought my X5 18 months ago, I think it was about AUD 9k rrp. I ended up going with the 239's which were also 9k-ish rrp but I think I got for about 4.5k trading in the 214's
