Floormats..
My dealer might not include floor mats in my deal (they don't come standard with the car..)
I'm wondering if I should buy the factory floor mats or should I get an aftermarket set? You guys with your X5M's, can you post a pic of your floor mats.. Are they ///M style? Or should I get some cool custom looking, ///M mats? |
100 Grand, and you don't even get a set of floor mats these days! I'm sure you could bend their arm and get them to throw in a set for free...

WeatherTech Automotive Accessories - Car Mats, Floor Mats, Cargo Liners, Side Window Deflectors and More makes all weather mats for BMW. Try them. or you can buy OEM mats from our member Drew.

I'm sure once I'm there I can twist a little arm.. But was also thinking, if they don't, might be cool to order some after market cool looking mats. |

I used to have a set on the 911 that said, Carrera S but after a few years, they fell apart. |
Buyer :"ok so i paid just over 100grand for a car....and i dont even get floor mats?"
BMW: "yup, hell.. we will gladly keep those wheels if we could and make you pay for them your self!" Buyer: -_- |
I like the OEM mats - simple, discreet.
Whenever I buy a new car, I automatically order a set of OEM mats, just so when the original ones get crappy, I can just replace with the new set. They cost about $100 - it's cheap, and I don't have to care about the original mats! |
My dealer 'tossed in' (LOL) the carpeted ones. They look so-so.
Maybe there is a better 'M-version'. I bought the rubber - all weather ones for some absurd sum of money. Edit - looks like they sell the /// versions for $130. I guess I'm going to have 3 sets of f**king floormats  BMW Accessories - 2010 X5 M SAV:M Embroidered Floor Mats with Heel Pad http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l5...DriversMat.jpg http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l5...X5MPassMat.jpg |

Something like this is what I'm looking for.. (Thanks HIRISC)

STICK with OEM IMO on any carpet mat.
I've been through it all, and the density/pile depth of the OEM carpet is purrfect IMO (aesthetics aside). |

PSA: Beginning with 12/4 production, BMW X5's have floormats installed at the factory, at least temporarily. Apparently, enough customers have complained about the lack of floormats that it's affecting their JD Power's scores, so they're trying this to help mitigate the issue. Again, it's not permanent (yet).

Dealer put mats in my X5M. Looking at the custom digitfit plastic mats. Would someone confirm that the 2010 X5M would use the same mat as the 2010 X5.
Thanks |

These are just rebranded WeatherTech floor liners, and yes, the regular X5 liners fit. We ordered these from weathertech (before knowing there were BMW branded ones - the price difference is negligible) for our X6M, and just ordered the regular X6 ones - they fit perfectly, and work VERY well. I like the raised lips on the sides - it actually does protect the carpet lying underneath really well. |

I did the same thing.. had a coupon for Weathertech.. good quality and very good fit. I took the Weathertech advertising, er emblem off the digi-fit floormats. Weathertech's website just indicated 2010 X5, not X5M, but they are the same. WeatherTech Automotive Accessories - FloorLiner? DigitalFit ® - 2010 BMW X5 - WeatherTech FloorLiner - car floor mats liner, floor tray protects and lines the floor of truck and SUV carpeting from mud, snow, water and dirt FWIW, I also bought the rear cargo area cover - very nice fit and there are cutouts for the tie-downs. |
Thanks. Bought the formfitted mats and cargo area mat. I have them in my wife's car and they work very well.
