Some interesting things to know for future ref.
 

When I brought the X5M in to have the side mirror fixed, couple things came up.

1) No, there is no 1200 mile service on the X5M. We checked and double checked. My car had 1200 miles and I didn't want to make a second visit.
2) I thought there was something wrong with the drivers side fan. It was blowing hard out of the middle vents but not out of the side vent. Asked the dealer to look at it and what they came back to me with was:
- I have rear climate control. If the fan is on in the back seats, it draws from the fan that would normally blow on the driver. So a "lethargic" type fan is caused by draw to the rear passengers.
3) If you are buying the snap in adaptor for the iphone, buy part number:
84.21-2 158 683-01 (will control your ipod on the iphone)
NOT
84.21-2 158 682-01 (will not control your ipod on the iphone)

Good info, what are you guys going to do as far as oil changes with this car. I did one in between intervals with M3 and thinking of doing at least an oil change at 3K to make up for lack of 1200 mile service.
