Sure, any repairs would be covered.

Just a tiny bit annoying that in all of their testing, nobody said 'hey, this really expensive SAV shouldn't make that brake noise in reverse'.

Basically a nit.

I'll have them look at it if my Starsky and Hutch full throttle reverse/braking exercises doesn't resolve it :D

you guys should really get over it... it's nothing compared to a car with carbon ceramic brakes where it squeaks all the time..

apples and oranges. it's a daily driver, not a Ferrari, eh.

Squeeky Breaks

I am LMAO....

Sorry everyone, but I can't help laughing.
After having a 2004 M-B E55 AMG for 3 years, followed by a 2007 M-B ML63 AMG now approaching the 3 year mark, where both vehicles had chronic squeaky brakes, I am amused and frustrated that neither M-B or BMW can seem to get what should be such a simple thing to work properly without squeaking!

I had my M-B Dealer address this issue on both vehicles at least 3 times each and it would always reappear on the E55 and to a lesser degree on the ML63. It has diminished over time on the ML63 and is almost gone now at the 34,000 mile point. Once the brake pads wear down a bit the squeaking is less pronounced but still there.

It has always been most embarrassing to drive up to a nice function at a private home, club or outing in a very nice, clean, impressive vehicle only to have heads turn towards you not because of that, but of the most annoying loud squealing sound emanating from the brakes.... What a downer!

Welcome to the club...

After more than a year, my 997tt can still make folks cover their ears on occasion.
