M Driving School

Is anyone aware if BMW offers the M driving school with the purchase of an M vehicle?

x5m mofo 01-24-2010 07:17 PM

Yup, they sure do at Spartanburg SC.

LeMansX5 01-24-2010 07:27 PM

BMW North America

JDM996CAB 01-24-2010 07:37 PM

Thanks. I will look into it!

998M 01-24-2010 07:44 PM

Assuming this is only if you order it, correct?

x5m mofo 01-24-2010 09:40 PM

No, I'm almost 100% sure anyone that purchases an M car of any sort is invited to an M driving course in Spartanburg.

998M 01-24-2010 09:48 PM

Hmm, I am on my 3rd M car and have yet to have any one ask or offer for me to go to Spartanburg. Thoughts I who I should contact?

jasonrhcastle 01-24-2010 10:00 PM

You should get an invitation in the mail. That is how I got mine with my M5 in 2008.

Really? The dealer usually mentions something and/or a little pamphlet thingy gets sent home. Ive had a couple M cars too, and it's something I always found neat, but I never managed to get out there for some mundane reason or another. This time I really wanna get off my butt and do it.

Is the M driving school the same one they offer at a cost or is it free for M purchasers?

The Big Easy 01-25-2010 07:53 AM

Included in a M purchase.

Cheers,

I was just informed today by BMW that the M driving school is offered at no charge to purchasers of new M5 and M6 vehicles. The XM5 and XM6 do not qualify. The inferred that the M division represents sport sedans and coupes. Why build these M SAVs if they aren't true M representatives? I am disappointed!!!

You guys may what to hit up Laura. She was down in SC with her X6 with the M boys.

Should ask BMW.;)

Irregardless everyone into BMW M's should take the 2-day M school. I did one last fall and had the best time while i was there and learned a ton with all the track time they allow in the M3, M5 and M6's. Worth every penny of the $3,295. I'm going to do the advanced M school this summer at VIR as soon as they release the dates for July.

According to my dealer rep, it's not offered for the X5M/X6M (for free at least).

BMW Fail.

The Big Easy 03-29-2010 12:20 PM

I`m booked for the M-School and ready to be amazed & terrified..........

Cheers,

OK - so we had our M-School in a gorgeous Monte Carlo Blue X5M this week! All I can say, this is one amazing SAV , emergency lane departure and re-entry will never be the same again :wow:. Also, in sport mode at speeds close on 200 kmh lapping the circuit....unbelievably sure footed for a 3 ton truck.

Cheers,
