I agree. They are assessing the design of the deflector / making new side brackets to allow for more rigid deployment.

SUcks Marc. I've had a problem with my PDC. Had it in 3 times, on the last they replaced the entire harness. So far so good.

I have the same issue, waiting on the wiring harness as well. At least they have a "fix" for us.

Thought you all might want an update. My X5M has been at dealer since Monday with rear camera issue. This is the third time that it has been in. Word back from BMW is that there is an issue in the wiring harness. They are going to build an new wiring harness for the fix. Expected time to repair... 3 months.

It is not a huge issue so I am not upset. But it is a little bit of a bummer. I like the camera and would prefer not having to keep taking my car in for service. The upside is that the dealership has been great. They have gone out of their way to communicate with me and get it done properly.

The 335i they gave me to drive has a fair amount of go. Not a bad little car. The all-season tires do howl like a coyote on a a full moon night :D

Looks like I have picked up the disease too - when the rear camera is on, flickers between the picture and then green.....similar to yours? Do you have any part numbers to share?

Thanks,

Sorry to hear that you are having the issue but good timing. I got a call this week that the newly designed wiring harness is in. I will take the car in to have it replaced on the 21 st. I do not know the p/n. Your dealership could contact International BMW in Milwaukee.

Bad news is that they have to remove half the interior to replace the harness.

Thanks - let us know what happens. Guess you're going to bubble wrap the interior?!

I am just thrilled that they have to remove so much interior to replace the wiring harness. They have removed the inside of the rear hatch twice while trying to figure out the issue. Now it squeaks.

Thanks,

Add me to the list. I have the disease too. They ordered the parts. I hope I don't get squeaks. :yikes:

My disease was only temporary - haven't been ill again!

Cheers,
