Is there anything new/different on the 2011 X5M?
Other than the tail lights? :dunno: It did not get the 8 speed transmission, right? It looks the same inside and out and I think the options are the same. Pls excuse my not being up to date on changes, but what am I missing?
Also, what is your opinion on multi-contour seats (i.e., are they critical for comfort on road trips 2 hours+ or just nice to have)? TIA  |

:shizzle: and hoping to join the ranks of the M owners even if I have to break the bank to do it. Life is short and sometimes you gotta say :wtf: |
A definite YES to multi-contour seats.

That's why it sits.

I think the transmissions went to 7 speed, both 6's and 8's are twin turbo, some body changes, more paint less blk plastic and minor interior touches. I would not get any five series w/o multi contour seats, they are GREAT, have them on my 550 and X5.

The M engine is name turbo as in the 50 but tuned differently, and M is unchanged in the gears; 6 speed. Unchanged. The non-M's have the 8 speed.
