X5m delivery tomorrow
 

I've been reading about all the delays. However, I ordered an x5m end of June. Purposely had production delayed till august 1st for the side view cameras. Production started July 31st. Finished aug 4th. Delivered to dealership today. Now that is fast!

Website went from scheduled for production to "at prep center" today, even though it's at the dealer already. I got the info from the 800 number and my ca. I'm curious if it's because my dealer is one of the biggest in the country and has pull?

Why the production delayed in the first place? Are they allocating to 5.0's and 3.5's to build stock of the new models and just leaving the M's to fill in later?

Prestige BMW. I delayed the production for the side view cameras. They were unavailable on x5s until august.
