x5m Snow tires oem wheels ROCKS
 

So DC/VA/MD got dumped with A LOT of snow , about 8 Inches in about 9 hours or so. Traffic was a pain but i took the x5m out after it stopped snowing and needless to say the x5m w/ snow tires *275's all around on oem wheels performed flawlessly. I was actually looking for snow pileups so i could blast through them.

tried the same thing this morning in an unpaved parkinglot w/ my buddies x5m oem tires (800 miles) on 8 inches of snow and it was not pretty. Had to completely disable tsc to get moving and was slipping/sliding side ways and barely got up to 10mph. snow tires are cheap insurance and a must for regions w/ snow

The first snow fall here, I almost had a pretty nasty wreck. The stock tires are horrible, I mean really, really bad on snow and ice. Then I almost lost it again limping the vehicle to the dealership to get winter rims and tires installed. I installed the 298M rims w/ continentals. Awesome setup this thing plows through the snow like amazing now. And I think the 298M's are actually nicer than the stock rims.

Stock OEM tires are SUMMER PERFORMANCE tires, of course they are not good in the snow.

For sure they are, 255/55/19 is much better than 275/40/20 on snow:thumbup:
