Ticking at idle
 

My X5M ticks at idle more significantly when cold. Seems to be getting slightly louder over time (now have 4000 miles), but has been there since day one. If I increase rpms it goes away. I suspect it's injectors, but wonder if anyone else noticed this?

Yep mine does the same thing. I never noticed it, maybe because I'm always on the car when it's running and I can't hear it.

But people have pointed it out to me. I took it to the dealer and to have them look at it all I got was the very common response "can't duplicate the problem".

I had a X3 Msport that made the same noise BTW. The dealer told me it was "normal" but didn't tell me why or what was making the noise.

I have the same. I will ask tomorrow when I am at the shop.
