New X6M Destroyed on Delivery

My new X6M Space Gray Shakir Orange was being put on the truck and it suffered extensive damage to the hood, bumper, grill and front fenders. I think that someone lowered the top deck onto it. Needless to say it's not coming.

Basically was told "Back to the beginning of the line" we'll get you a new one in a month.

No discount, no extended warranty, nothing to make it right.

What do I DO????

Tell them to cancel the order (obviously you won't be serious) then they will offer something...

I agree with Naz...unless this Dlr is swamped with orders for X6Ms, (doubtful), and they haven't blown their allocation, I would play with the dlr and tell him you are looking elsewhere and will probably cancel your order. Don't blink, and seem sincere, and deal with someone well above the sales idiot when you do it.

That's sucks...I know you have been pretty jacked to get it as well...

Why not try for an X5 M ? :)

Unexpected complications do arise whether it be in our professional or private lives. Be reasonable, make some coffee and enjoy waiting another 4 weeks.

Cheers,

When they called me they were pretty worried I'd be upset, I was like "no big deal" and just put in another order. At the end of the day it's just a stupid car I suppose but I was somewhat dissapointed after it sunk in. Call me in the middle of the day nothing sinks in I'm so busy hahaha

They are not making you take delivery of a repaired new car. It sucks but hey they are getting you a new car.

Tell them that you are a bit concerned about putting the new one on the delivery truck. Tell them it would ease your mind if they helped out on airfare and lodging, and go pick it up yourself in SC!

Let it go and enjoy the good karma.

If you'd ordered a new Ford, they would have taken it to the body shop, replaced a couple of body panels, resprayed it, and never told you what happened. Rather than trying to capitalize on the accident, enjoy the fact that you're doing business with a company that's reputable enough to make the situation right by building and sending you a new car.

Legally, the above could not happen...
