I'm considering same. I did the resonator/secondary cat removal with x-pipe (stock mufflers) on my M6 and loved the results.

Anyone try this on their X5M/X6M?

I remember on my 05 4.8is simply removing the resonators and putting straight pipes instead of resonator, and it sounded BEASTLY! But that was a 4.8is v8 N/A engine.

im considering replacing my resonator for an x-pipe... but im afraid of getting errors or any lights...

any input on this?

all i know is that itll sound super sexy <3

def will have no warning lights.. I did this on my e53 x5 4.8is.. had no warning lights. I also know friends that have done this to their 335cis, x5 4.4i, range rover SC and no warning lights, your fine. :thumbup:

Is there even a resonator? I've looked at quite a few photos of take-offs and I don't see anything to remove!?

Two cans right under the middle of the car. One on each side. I'm still considering it, but I never had time over the holidays.
