? for those who have had an aftermarket exhaust installed on an X5M...
I need to have an Eisenmann exhaust installed, is there any cutting/welding required to remove the stock muffler & install the aftermarket unit? TIA...

I have Eisenmann race exhaust on my 2010 BMW, but not on X5M. I bought from US distributor iND dist and they took 15 minutes and I was on my way. They packed the OEM exhaust in bubble wrap for me.
Eisenmann replaces stock exhaust. They will heat and remove old one and install new. I am sure there is welding. http://www.ind-distribution.com/ezst...xhaust_bmw.jpg |
We just did one of these at our shop. You need to cut the stock muffler off, and the Eisenmann can be clamped or welded in place. It also comes with two sets of mounting brackets to fit X5 or X6. I believe the shorter ones were for the X5.
