x5m oem exhaust mod
 

E90/E92 m3 guys have been hacking open the oem exhaust and modding .

anyone willing to try or know how the inside piping of the stock exhaust is?

With the Akra system completely bypassing the muffler i'm sure we could get similar results by rewelding the oem exhaust.

I would try this If I had an X5M, sounds great!

will this work on an x5m ???

if so then i will def give it a try , ive wanted more noise but really was'nt looking to spend 3k+

Could they have this wooly stuff in the 4.8 too?? I want more grunt :p

4.8 has a resonator , just have a pro shop remove and put on strait pipes :thumbup:

I think I could try this, I would need a welder but thater pretty easy. One thing tho, the interior ipipe has a gate on it that gees open on pressing the M Mode buttonl. so we would need to attned to that issues.

i was gonna try to find a way to disable the gate in the open mode , it must be electronic ?
doesnt sound that hard to do ?

On my GT3 pictured in the sig, it had the same thing. We were able to cut a wire to get it to stay open. But I Dont remember what it was. Yes I am sure that gate is controlled electronically. Somebody has to do the research, but I looked underneath and you can see the gate valve. It looks like some kind of valve on a Turbo I used to have.
