Question about buying a used X5m

Hi Guys.
I currently have a 2006 X5 4.4 sport that I love but am in the market for something new. So the 06 is for sale and I am considering a CPO'ed X5M.
I looked over the posts and really didnt see many complaints or issues.

Is there anything I should watch out for in looking at X5m's and are there any common problems or things I should be aware of?

BTW Im also considering a new X50sport also. Whats a smarter buy in your opinion? Used X5M or brand new X50sport?

I'm considering this move soon myself.. so I started this thread a little whiles back, lots of M owners chimed in with good comments & info!

Hope that helps?

It's a fantastic car. Not sure there is much more to say.

I've been changing cars annually and I finally found a keeper. The X5M and my M3 convertible are the best pair ever.

I wanted a Cayenne S and Porsche wouldnt talk to me even after 4 911's.
So I got a X5M for MSRP-$20K Got a 2011. I would FIRST look for a new 2011,
THEN go for a new one. I have looked and looked and stared at mine. I am a scientist
and this thing is built like a tank. Its very well engineered. Its my SECOND X5 and I sold
my 4.8iS to my son. For Cayenne S money you get the top of the line BMW model that beats the Porsche Cayenne TT in all categories.

Im not sure if I understood you correctly. You said look for a new 2011 first..
Are you saying you can still find new 2011s left over onthe lot? I have not seen any?

there are a ton of leftover 2011s..you have to be willing to search nationwide though for your specific color combos and options though.
