Angel Eyes - 10W Upgrade
 

On my M6 I had upgraded my angel eyes to a 5W set-up, spent more money and wasn't really please with the results. So I took info I learned from the M6 forum wherein several members tried the following from ebay:

2 X 10WATTS high power for each LED
Genuine CREE R4 SMD LED chip


$58.95 I'm very happy with the results! Not very good photos since I was doing it in the daytime, but you can see the color difference before and after. They match very well with the headlights. Money well spent.

Whoa, that is pretty bright. CREE leds are known to be one of the brightest. Do you have any pictures of how it was installed?

Thanks. I'm happy with the brightness. As for directions for the install, you can go to the owner's manual for replacement of the bulbs. I had done this on my prior M6, and this had a more hand room to work.

Those came out really nice. That M badge looks too big. I would take it off but if you like it you should have gone with a more discreet size like the new M6

Agreed - I like the new M6 badge (I was looking into it when I had my previous gen M6 vet). If I could find a smaller \\\M, I would swap it out. To me the grill looks so much bigger on the X5M then when I had the M6, so I went for it. To each his own... next step will probably be matte black grills, so I may swap out then.

Today, some guy has offered to install Mtec 20W angel eyes on my X.

any experience with this brand? and with 20W in general?

Do you recommend it?
