X5M Steering Feel
 

Just bought a 2010 CPO and the only thing that bugs me about these M's is the amount of play in the steering on center...requires at least a few degrees of turn before the steering weights up. I'm coming from a Cayenne Turbo which was almost darty with even the slightest input. Is this normal?

I also have a 2010 and i have no play in the steering wheel. You might want to take it in to the dealer and make a stink.

I'm starting to wonder if it's the active steering I have to get used to. Our other vehicle is a 2010 Xdrive4.8 without active steering.

It is definitely the active steering. It took me a while to get used to it never having the active steering before. I wish they would make it an option. I would have never gotten it if I had the choice.
