E70 X5M tires
What tires are you guys running on?
MyBridgestone's are in need of replacement in the spring however there doesn't appear to be very many options in our size. |
Lots of views but no comments :dunno:
I have decided to go with Michelin PSS The front will have to be 285/35/20 (that's the closest size they make) The rears will be 315/35/20 I know the fronts are a smaller tire by 0.81" however I think I will be ok. I love PSS and will be looking forward to running on these this summer:D |
looking forward to feedback on how you like the Michelin's

I have Nitto Motivo's on mine. No complaints. Conti DWS is a little better tire though.

If you like the Michelin PSS, check out the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti.

Just dropping an update in here. It turns out PSS still aren't available for our M's:( The fronts are the issue.
I decided to go with Falken FK453CC. It's a very simular tread design to the PSS. I'm getting them mounted this week. I will post feedback once I have had them for a bit. |
Bridgestones on my OEM wheels..... Pirelli Scorpions on my 22" BBS Sv

Still waiting on Discount Tire to get the Conti's in, ordered them last Saturday. The rears are in but waiting on the Fronts. Next time I'll order them through Tirerack and get them quicker. |
Did you get the DWS Continentals installed yet? If so, please share your comments and feedback. Thanks.

I had the Conti's installed two weeks ago. The ride is much improved over the run flats. It is noticeably quieter inside the truck. I've had a few days of torrential rain and they handled extremely well. One morning with temps in the low 40's and the tires did well.
Overall you can feel a little push when cornering extremely fast, not as hard of a sidewall as the run flats. I would recommend the tires to anyone looking to ditch the run flats. |
We ran the 20" DWS on the 2013 X5 and loved them. Great ride. Quiet. Long life. Excellent handling and good wet road manners. We ordered a replacement set and traded the X5 before mounting them. The new X6M has the Bridgestone RFTs that we will run through the summer before we mount up the DWS set. Glad to see our experience matched yours.
BTW, I run the Conti DW in my C63 and they're a great summer tire. Don't know if they are sized for OEM X M fitment or not, but if I lived in a warm climate I'd consider that route as well. |
I am selling my OEM Bridgestone runflats from my X5M if anyone is interested...

Just an FYI to people with X5M's. It's a known fact that our vehicles destroy tires especially in the back because of the camber. I've taken mine for two alignments and no one can get rid of the rear camber.
The nitto motivo is a non directional tire. So they can be rotated from left to right in order to extend tire life. Just food for thought. |
