E-Brake Handle
I posted this in the Bimmerfest forums, but this one seems to get more traffic (pun completely intended!).
I just purchased an aftermarket brake handle, but I don't see how to remove the factory one. I don't see any obvious retaining devices, and the handle seems to be attached to the leather. Any thoughts? Toby |
Not sure if it's the same procedure on an X3, but Kaefer just replaced his e-brake handle on his X5. LINK
Good luck. |
Very cool! That explains it. Thanks!

Got it done, no sweat! The only problem was the dork on e-bay selling the item lied (I know, big shock!). The "chrome" button didn't fit at all, and the handle itself required some modification to allow for the flanges on the brake handle. Other than that, no problems. I'll post some pics soon, hopefully Monday.

Congrats on the install

X3 de Miami, you read my mind - I've already got the pedals (should be another thread around here with pics).
I paid $30 on E-Scam for it. You can also get an ACS handle there, if you desire. |
Looks great.
Complements the ///M pedals quite nicely. |
