Recently picked up a book:
"Car Badges, The Ultimate Guide to Automobile Logos Worldwide"
By: Giles Chapman

Published by Merrell

It is a great little reference and explains what is behind many of the automotive logos and contains photos of their evolution.

Enjoy!

Slight change of pace, but since we started with airplane propellers....

The first BMW road vehicle was the R32. I rode an R50/5 for a while. What does R stand for?

ricky.agrawal 01-22-2006 05:18 PM

R is short for Rad which means cycle in Deutsch I think. Either that or R means racing. I'm honestly not sure.

R = Rad = cycle. Your turn for a question.

What BMW was the first to use the famous kidney style grill?

You win, your turn.

And I still would rather not ask the questions. :)
