Alternator Harness

How to unplug control harness to my X3 2004 alternator? Seems stuck.
Had problem also with the fan plug and finally forced off but needed tie wrap to hold on reinstall.
Don't like these Bosch electrical connectors.

Help

bogrady.....ALL connectors have a positive locking snap. You must "release" the latch before the connector will release. Some are very difficult and may require a small blade screw drive or other pick to get the latch over the hook AT the same time trying to pull the connector off. I too have problems with them, as you can never seem to find the release lever and when you do, it is very hard to squeeze. Need a 3rd hand sometimes.

Oops I may have lost one of the two pins in plug to alternator getting it off.
Does field circuit need both pins ? Where can I get new plug. harness?
On old cars I never had so much trouble replacing anything but there was not so many cheap plastic parts , sensors and computeres. Engine performance is great however and it avoids old time carburetor and timing adjustments I was surprised to see no dist coil but rater a separate coil on each plug. Seldom see black or blue smoke from cars anymore
