Green led light on headlight switch.
Hi,
I know the headlight switch has a green led near the knob, but mine never lighted since I bought the car. Can someone please tell me what should be the correct behavior of this led? My control module as buttons to front and rear fogs and automatic lights when darkening and also two buttons one to control headlight level and other to control intensity of instrument panel light. Does the led should be lighted when the knob is in the automatic position? Thanks in advance for your help. Regards:thumbup: |

So I guess my led is burned, it never lights and the auto lights are working fine. Is it possible to replace the green led or it's necessary to replace the complete module? Thanks |
That's a good question. That I've never tried but I can tell you the switch disconnects from the light control module "lcm" I'd say your best bet would be getting another off eBay I recall them being around $40-50us . Just make sure you get one similar to yours as USA doesn't have rear fog light requirement

In the online parts catalogue, even with my VIN, there are so much different references, one that supersedes, other that is superseded lol! For VIN WB48771 I "think" it's reference 61313405692 but I'm not sure... Thanks:thumbup: |
Are you sure it's an LED?
Mine has what looks like a small LED, but is in fact an ambient light sensor for the dashboard lighting. |

You are absolutely right! Upon further research I figured I don't have a LED... I'ts in fact the sensor, the green LED, when it's there, it's on the left side of the knob near the symbol of the auto lights! Sorry about the confusion and thanks for the explanation! Regards:thumbup: |
