Desperate for headlight help ! ! !

I need help, man do I need help!! The factory xenon headlights in my 2007 X3 are giving me fits. For months now one of them will go out while the other remains in working condition. The odd thing is that it changes. Sometimes the driver's side will work and the passenger side is out. Other times, the driver's side will not work and the passenger side will. Sometimes they will both work perfectly for a couple of weeks and then revert to one not working. I've tried swapping out ballasts, installing new xenon bulbs, cleaning contacts but nothing seems to actually fix the issue. I finally got sick of this madness and took my car to my local BMW dealership. They said they were not exactly sure what was going on and that a bizarre issue was definitely happening. They wanted to replace bulbs and a couple other components to the tune of just over $2,000 with no guarantee that it would even fix my problem!!!!! I obviously declined doing that.

Now today for the first time ever, I looked at the front of the car and both headlights were not working. I went inside, came back out, turned them on and the passenger side is all of the sudden working (driver side is not). Yesterday, the driver's side worked and the passenger did not. AGHHHH, what is going on here?!?!?!?!?

A couple of things to point out, the parking lights, turn signals, emergency flashers, halos and fog lights have always functioeds perfectly.

Hi,

Not sure if you have sorted it but after retrofitting my Xenons this week at first all I had was Angel eyes and main beam.
Dipped beams came on flickered and went off. I had to code in the Xenons and since then they are perfect.

Maybe your car has lost the coding?

So your saying that they actually "go out" it's not maybe that they don't come on at times ?
