I woke up this morning and walked out to my X3 and saw this. Last night I had been driving with all of the windows open, and noticed some extra noise coming from the rear window later on in the evening when I rolled all the windows up, but thought nothing of it at the time...

Of interest, the car did have the window guide SIB done two months ago...

X5 newbie crashing the thread here...make SURE you take notes and get detailed printouts of all the accrued service days...I just went through arbitration (and won) on a VW SUV...I hear BMW is WAY better in taking care of problem cars, but keep all your records....sorry about your window:(

Wow, that is the first time I've seen that happen. Hey...at least it didn't rain.

That's ugly, and unacceptable to happen on such a car!

Oh yes it did ! haha

They are fixing it free of charge. I suspect it had something to do with a shoddy job on the window guide SIB I had done two months ago.

I get to see what they did to my baby today!!!

Got it back last night, they redid the whole window guide. Looks great - sure is good to have your own bimmer back !

I also got new wipers ! :)
