Can I get this reprogrammed?

Can I get the following reprogrammed at the $tealer?
  • Daytime running lights OFF
  • Auto-locking when exceeding 5mph OFF
  • I have to open the door handles twice to open a locked door (annoying) OFF
  • Auto volume levels based on speed OFF
What do you think it's going to cost me? I have two arms and legs but still need them. Thanks.

yes to all but last one, you can set that yourself, On my 325i it was done by holding the volume button, look at your owners manual

No dice for that. The owners manual doesn't say how to turn it off. It simply says "Adjusting the volume", "The volume rises automatically as the speed of the vehicle increases to compensate for increasing noise in the passenger compartment"

There no special programming icon or any instructions on how to turn it off. Oh well, I guess I live with that one.

For the auto volume setting: Hold the button with the musical note emblem for 3 seconds. Then you can adjust the sensitivity of the auto adjusting volume with the buttons to the left and right of the "note" button. It will show on the radio's display. I think the settings are from 1-6 with 1 being the lowest.

You can't do anything about 3, except to not have the doors lock as you drive off.

The dealer can program the other 2 however...

It will cost 50 or 60 bucks, at least 1/2 hour labor.

Making up to 5 changes in the carkey memory is charged 15 minutes according to BMW dealer rules. Here in Austria these are ~30$;)
