Is bigger better?

I started a thread regarding the X3 as a possible "chick car."
Last week I leased a new X3 black on black.

Thanks for all the responses. They brought me to a new question:

Is chick car/not chick car determined more by size or price?

The BMW x3, 325 and z4 are all smaller AND priced less than the rest of the BMW line - from what I've learned, they are all possible chick cars.

Is the X5 more manly because it is a larger car/truck or because it costs more?
Is the 7 series more manly than the X5? It's not as tall but it costs more.

If the X3, 325 or Z4 were priced at 150,000 would they ever be considered a chick car?

Some food for discussion in my never ending quest for what is and is not a BMW chick car - as a man who just bought a manly, killer, mean-looking black on black, no-extras... X3.

As I just posted to my previous thread... driving in LA, you never know what's in, out, up down or sideways. A bimmer's a bimmer but then there are the better bimmers and the bummer bimmers.

Thanks all!

BMWs aren't chick cars (except maybe the Z3 with the 1.8).

VWs are often chick cars. Also anything that is painted pink and driven by a cosmetic salesperson.

Survey says: http://www.cartalk.com/content/features/Guy-Chick-Cars/

"Saleswoman" Not sales person. Especially if it's pink. No need to be politically correct. No man should be caught dead driving a pink car.

Sorry, I just think that a pink Cadillac is a chick car, no matter if the sales rep driving it is male or female.

Neither

By your logic, a Hummer H4 must be a chick's vehicle.

I don't get why you are so hung up on what other people think? What's in, what's out? Is it an LA thing? And why would cost determine what is or is not a chick car?

So I guess I drive a guy car because I have a 4.4 X5, more power, more money, and a 3.0 is a chick car?

OK, I think a 650 is a chick car. Sleek, nice lines, come and get me kind of look.

Price doesn't determine they type of vehicle, market direction does.

I think the numbers determine if it is a chick car or not...If 99% of 325CiC drivers/owners are chicks, (which they are ) then its probably a chick car. Just keep your eyes open on who's buying what. And its a BMW, so if you start to have a complex, at least you'll get your money back on resale...;)

I see guys and gals driving the same types of cars. I had a RAV4 a while back and some would say that is a chick car, but I liked it. My X3 has a chick's name. Who gives a flying F***!!!!!!
