new here - pics of my '06 X3

hi! found this forum after hanging out in the bimmerfest forums first. i bought my X3 on april 1 and am loving it! it's my first bimmer, and i don't think i'll ever buy anything else (unless i win the lottery, that is).

i had considered the infiniti fx35, volkswagen toureg, and land rover lr3. the X3 met my needs the best, though i was a bit biased to begin with since i've wanted a bimmer for a while now. so it's quite possible that i made sure my needs matched the X3. ;)

see the pics here.

:xoutpost: r6girl! That's a great looking X3 you have there - and I love your choice of colors. I'm sure others (including me) would like to see more pics of that Terracotta interior! I'm sure you'll enjoy hanging around here!

r6G: Welcome to the best X site on the web, and
a great all around place to hang.

Fine looking X3 and Terra Cotta is my new
fave int. color.

r6girl 05-04-2006 12:32 AM

wow! thanks for the warm welcome! :)

alpine rasta - good to see some other women here too!

this weekend will be interior cleaning time (i find i need to separate the interior and exterior cleaning sessions, or else i'll spend a full day on my X3 every weekend!) so i'll take some pictures of the interior to add to my site. i really like the terracotta, though it's a bit more orange than i expected - i ordered it sight unseen (brave or not-so-bright, take your pick). one of my friends refers to my X3 as the pumpkin car. she doesn't get to ride in it anymore. :D

Brad_p 05-04-2006 03:11 AM

Still waiting for mine to arrive....next week. Basically the same as yours except black interior and 3.0 Diesel!

:welcome: :D and congrats!

i noticed you got it from sonnen, that's where my X5 is from too!! ... make sure you get to know Todd in the service dpt ... the guy's helped me out with my X countless times since getting it in Aug 2004, and has gone out of his way to hook me up on more than several occasions -- and i don't even have boobies :)

thanks for the tip on sonnen! i purchased from them since they gave me the best price out of all of the dealerships i contacted from modesto all the way up to sacramento. but, i live in the east bay and there are other dealerships closer to me, so i don't think i'll go back to sonnen for service. i was working with webster for my ipod kit installation, and he was really nice.

and, you're right, having boobs can help in some situations, but i reserve using those special powers with my husband only. :D if you don't have boobies, there must be something else about you that todd likes! ;) :jk:

crosvs 05-04-2006 10:09 PM

Beware of Sonnen. Never had a good exp. there... If any dealer gives you trouble come down to Stevens Creek or Peter Pan !

judybe83 05-17-2006 08:39 PM

R6Girl as in Yamaha R6? My significant other just sold his VFR and is still crying about it. Young son rides a mille R. I'm sticking with my X3.

i probably won't go there again, as there are many other dealers closer to my home. i really only went their because of their price out of the 7 or so dealers i got quotes from. i've heard both good and bad about stevens creek and peter pan - do you work with anyone in particular at those dealerships? i've heard that the right service contact can make all the difference... :)

yep - r6 as in yamaha r6. vfr's are nice - my husband has been considering one for street riding after he's done with racing. the mille r's are sweet! i get a bit frustrated with many of the sportbikes out there - at 5'3" there are so many that are too tall to the point where i can't even touch the ground. i don't ride as much as i used to, and plan to take my X3 on the track next - it will be nice to be on 4 wheels for a change!

BTW, :welcome: ... Congratulations...
