Sport exhaust vs. "regular"???

hey all

though it's not listed in any brochure, I've read on another forum that the SPORT package comes with a "sport" exhaust system (possibly a different material, resulting in a different sound)...I know the tips are different, but does anybody knnow anything about this?

I just ordered on 06 X3, Prem pkg, loaded with lots of other stuff, and was going to add chrome tips as a dealer add on.....It's too late/I'm not that interested in the sport package, just curious to how different the look is.

Does anybody have "regular" exhaust with the chrome add ons? Any opinions, or pics?

Many thanks
Peter

FWIK, there's a baffle that opens after 3.5k in all `06? X3's to effect an open/free-flowing exhaust ie. reduce back-pressure. In the 'sport exhaust', this baffle is left open full-time.

thanks Dr. T....so I assume the baffle will just open automatically and stay open at 3500 miles? Nothing one should do or can do to change it?
