That is more true in the US. In Canada, the X3 3.0 Sport is an M, the 530 sedan and touring are available with M Sport package, as is the 550 sedan, and the 325 coupe (E46) and 330 (E46) cabriolet are both equipped with M Sport. Lots of M badges on each one, including sills, steering wheel, etc.

Maybe with the start of the M sport packages in the US, you will see it spread to more models.

Oh, and very nice X3.

You ordered the exact vehicle I considered getting - same colors, options, etc. but I went with one they had in stock.:wow: Very nice. Looks better than I thought it would.

Welcome to the group and congrats on the new ride! Great call all the way around.

Nice package. Yep mine has all the "M" badges as well. Doesn't make a lot of sense but they do look nice. I would of thought they would of at least played with the engine a bit. They did do a nice job on the seats / steering wheel / wheels and suspension. I'm very happy with the sport package

Most people here don't order their X3, just buy it off the lot, and the dealers only order the premium package for their inventory. So, my X3 looks different than most of the X3's out here, that's for sure. Plus the color combo is a bit unique as well, but I love it!

Very nice! You have taste similar to me. Check out my X5 that I got last month:

BMW does this a lot in the rest of the world. Basically you can dress up any car with an M-kit (bodykit, interior trim, gearshift knobs, steering wheel, etc...) provided you shell out the extra $$. These are all cosmetic upgrades only. The X3 with the sport package is the only truly equipped (from top to bottom) M-kit equipped car this side of the pond.

For example, in europe you can order a 320i with an M bodykit, M steering wheel, M wheels, M interior trim and an M gearshift knob.
