X3 Warranty

what does the warranty cover?

i have an issue where the front seat driver side is showing signs of wear pattern..as time passed it has gotten worse because the cracks are spreading. Can BMW replace the lower section of the seat at no cost?

i have pics if any1 wants to see it?

Thet should replace it. I did have the same problem but it was in my honda pilot and the dealers replace all leather seats front and back.

How many miles and how old is your X3? BMW might be unwilling to replace if it thinks its normal wear and tear, but if its significant in a short period of time, you can try.

It looks like something sharp scratched it if you ask me, I doubt they will, I have a little spot on my X5 from my belt hitting it (and of coarse the wearing sides of the sport seats from me getting it and rubbing it)

i will post a better picture...i dont believe it was scratched

silversurfer,
From memory of posts here, some people have had very good
luck in getting "wear and tear" items repaired, replaced and
redone by their Stlrs. Others have had so-so luck.

I would think it depends upon your relationship, the Stlr's
'Tude about this kind of fix, and whether they will decide
it was a premature wear or an inflicted gouge.

Give it a smiling try; the worst they can say is no.
